Gen 1 - Chapter 9: Birthdays and personalities.

Author's note: chapter's from now on will be told from Jenna's point of view.

We have a very busy couple of weeks ahead of us, what with the twins birthday's and mine and Claude's birthday's too. I'm thinking about throwing one party for us all. I have been rather busy at work too, getting to know all my new colleagues, and my boss. The children are just wonderful, though they can be little terrors occasionally. I am really enjoying being back at work.

We decided to hire out the local hot spot Red's Bar for the day and invite all our friends. It has a bar for the adults and a dance floor and games for the younger guests. I booked it for Saturday from midday, now I have just got to get the invitations written and sent out, and wrap the presents.

The past few days have been a blur, what with work, preparing dinner and helping the girl's with their homework, and making sure all the party preparations are sorted ready for tomorrow. I am so tired, think I will have a nice relaxing bath and head off to bed.

The sun was shining brightly when I woke, I am glad the weather is going to be nice for the party. There is lots to do today before we head off. The housework needs doing, the food needs preparing. I just don't know how I'm going to get it all done ready for midday and have time to get myself ready.

My fiancĂ© is such a sweetie, he done all the housework for me so all I had to do was the food. Now I can be ready with plenty of time left before we leave. I gave him a big kiss to say thank you.

Claude had his shower and put his suit on, then he helped the girl's choose their outfits. They looked so cute in their final choices. I can't believe my little angels are growing so big already, I will soon be a Grandmother if they carry on growing at this alarming rate.

I settled on a gorgeous blue dress and matching heels for the party.

We left at 11am so we had plenty of time to get everything in order before the guests got here. The first guest arrived a little before midday, 10 minutes after that the party was in full swing, the guests were enjoying themselves and everyone was having a great time.

Time for the cakes. It was Claude's turn first, seeing as he is the oldest. Wow, he looks amazing, a few wrinkles, but still just as handsome in my eyes. I only hope I turn out half as good.

Now it's my turn. I blew out the candles and didn't feel any different, but when I looked in the mirror all I could see were wrinkles. I was disappointed that I didn't look young anymore. Claude told me I still looked as beautiful and vibrant as I did the first day we met. I feel so lucky to be marrying him.

Now it was the girl's turn. Lyra went first as she was the older of the two, and my, she was a beauty and looked ever so much like her Father. She still loved pink and insisted on a pink gown for the party.

Lily grew up looking very different to her sister, but she was still gorgeous. She now loved anything dark and gloomy and had decided she wanted to be a Goth.

Billy had brought the girls wonderful presents, Lyra received a guitar, she wanted to be a singer so this would give her a head start. Lily got a telescope as she loved all things dark and weird. They were both very happy with their presents and thanked their Grandfather.

We surprised them with crash courses in driving and a new car each, a pink one for Lyra and a Black one for Lily. They were ecstatic and couldn't wait to drive them when they had passed their test.

We all danced until late into the evening, and the last guest had left. We cleaned up before heading home to bed. It has been a very exciting day. I am looking forward to seeing what type of women my girl's become.
