It's been a year already, JayJay is now six and has recently moved into year two. He's growing so quick, and looks so much like Dad did when he was the same age. He seems to be having a better time at school than I did, and has lots of friends, he's always bringing home a different one every week. I'm really pleased his grades have started to improve, as they didn't start off to well.
I make him his packed lunch every morning, he always has peanut butter and jelly sandwiches everyday, without fail. While he eats his cereal I make sure his uniform is all laid out on his bed for him and then get myself ready for work. I had been promoted to Projects Manager a month ago, which meant another nice raise. I had been putting the extra money away in an account for a holiday, hopefully next year, for me and Jasper.
My life seemed to be moving in a direction I was very happy with, my best friend, Kitty had just had a baby girl. She is so cute, and looks just like her. Having Savannah had meant putting her wedding on hold until next year, but Kitty didn't seem to mind. She had taken to Motherhood like a duck to water, she was a real natural.
Me and Jasper spent Saturdays together, either at the park, at the beach, or watching his favourite team play. We alternated it each week, and this Saturday was Football Saturday. The Leaning Llama's were playing against the Trippy Tigers, and Jasper was a Trippy Tiger all the way. We made popcorn, and took a cooler box full of drinks and snacks with us to the Stadium. He had crazed and crazed until I gave in for the full sports uniform, and insisted on us both wearing it to every match.
Once all the snacks had been packed and we were ready we left for the Stadium, we always had so much fun, once Friday rolled round I would get excited because I knew the weekend would be spent just me and him, and that's how I liked it. We always sat in the first row of the stand, Jasper liked to be close to the front just incase the ball came flying in our direction. We cheered and cheered for the Tiger's so much that we both ended up with sore throats by the time the match had finished.
Whenever the Tiger's won we celebrated with a burger at the local diner, and tonight that's what we were having for Dinner. The Tiger's had won 4-0, and Jasper was a very happy little boy, as he got to meet his favourite star, Derren Hawws afterwards. He was even kind enough to sign an autograph and spare football for him to, which I know he will treasure.
Once we had finished our burgers we took a nice stroll home, this was always my favourite part of the day, listening to Jasper excitedly reminisce about his day. The walk home usually took half an hour, so we were normally home in time for Jasper to have his bath and then we would watch his favourite TV show, Acting Academy before he headed to bed.
I tucked him in and kissed him goodnight, then left him to get some sleep. I poured myself a glass of wine and curled up with Crimson Rose, the new Vampire Fiction I was currently reading. I really loved the story so far and tried to read at least a couple of chapters before bed each night. The main characters helped suck me into the story every time. I had had many a day dream about Stefan whilst at work, his pale Blue eyes, soft, dark Blond hair and the way he was always so attentive with Rose never failed to send shivers down my spine and make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I placed my bookmark on the current page once I had finished chapter 12 and gently laid the book on my nightstand before switching off the light and waiting for sleep to come.
I awoke coughing and gasping for air. I opened my eyes to see the bedroom was full of smoke. I quickly tossed the covers aside and ran to Jasper's room only to be halted by thick Orange flames licking at the TV, and walls. The flames were quickly spreading, I could feel the heat from them burning my skin as I pushed Jasper's door open. He was still asleep in bed, I had to get him out.
As I reached for him I felt the thick smoke clouding my senses and suddenly my face met the floor, the last thing I remember is two rather large, rough hands scooping me up.
As the rush of cold air hit me I suddenly realised I was outside the apartment, I worriedly scanned the area looking for Jasper and my heart broke when I realised he wasn't here.
"Jasper... Jasper.. Nooooo" I screamed through tears as I tried to push my way into the building. One of the Fireman stood in front of me blocking my way in.
"I'm sorry Ma'am, but I can't let you go in, it's too dangerous."
"My Son is still in there, I have to....you have to...." Was all I managed to stutter before breaking down into tears unable to comprehend that Jasper was still in that inferno.
"I have my best fighters in there, if he's in there they will find him, now please get yourself checked out by the Paramedic."
The Paramedic took my blood pressure, temperature and checked me for any burns, cuts, or bruises. I had managed to escape with minor burns to my arm, thankfully the smoke hadn't done any damage to my lungs. The whole time I was being checked over my eyes never looked away from the apartment, wishing, hoping that any second Jasper would be safely carried through the doors.
Every second I waited seemed like an eternity, shouldn't they have had him out by now?
I saw the doors fly open and and there he was, still sleeping soundly in the Fire fighter's arms. I rushed over......
"Oh my God, thank-you...thank-you so much." I said as a fresh load of tears fell from my eyes, blurring my vision.
"Kay.... is.... is this.... my Son?"
Please stay tuned for Chapter 9 :D
For those of you interested in the book Kayleigh was reading, it can be found here. The author is a very good friend of mine, and she is an amazing writer, so I hope you will all take the time to have a look :D

Oh my goodness, what an insane chapter! I was so sacred at the end, I think I was waiting for Jasper to come out as anxiously as Kayleigh was! I'm so curious to see what Alex thinks!
Wow, this is a difficult place to leave us hanging--can't wait for the next update, I cannot imagine why she responded that way.
Awww. I loved it! Perfect chapter! I do hope Alex and Kay get back together.
~ Kim, I know that things that threaten your life can cause a drastic life change, for better or worse, I would say Alex, was a good out come seeing he is fighting fire & saving lives!
~ And I would say he has redeemed himself,by saving his own sons life!
~ He most definitely has grown-up!
~ Can not wait for more,I am sitting on the edge of my seat!(with the threat of falling of immanent!lol!)
~ Very surprising update,loved it!(",)
Wow Alex :O
It seems like fate that they should get back together!
Oh, I loved this Kim. It was marvelous. I love seeing Kay and JayJay interact. I hope they'll stay this close even when he's a teen.
What a surprise there at the end. I didn't see this one coming since he was fighting for his life the last time we saw him. I guess they have a lot to talk about. I give him 5 points for saving JayJay's life, but the other five will be awarded on how he acts and behaves from here on.
Great chapter.
Okay, now I understand...he is asking if Jaspar is his son. I thought she asked the question, please ignore my previous comment as it makes no sense!
Amazing chapter. I loved the ending and now am waiting on the edge of my seat for the next chapter.
You're welcome Kim! Oh, and I wanted to let you know that I figured out how to get the text on my other blog to not look wonky, and now I feel really stupid about it. Oh well. I was just really tired this morning and didn't know what the heck I was doing. XD
Also, WOW!!!!!! Alex is a total freakin' hottie!!! I want him!!! NOW!!!! LOL

There is no rush with uploading Hunter, I already have the next generation sorted, but maybe the one after that. Thanks for uploading him for me though :D

ooooh I smell drama! Loved it!!!!
*hugs Kim really tightly*
O_O Oh wow! The chapter had me worried, but I didn't see THAT coming! Well done indeed. :)
Holy cow I didn't see that coming either! I really hope that Alex's brush with death in that accident helped him to get a grip and see what's important in life. I sooooo can't wait to see how this all goes down. I'm dying to hear what Alex has to say.
WOAH That's all I'm gonna say for now!
Holy Cow! Didn't see that coming! Great Update!
